Move Well
Strength, skill, mobility and work capacity that carry into real life.

James Island · Est. 2012
Functional fitness, mindful coaching, recovery and genuine community—woven together to help you move, feel and live better.

The people make the place
Train with people who learn your name, celebrate your progress and make showing up feel like coming back to your people.
More than a workout
Nomad uses physical training as a starting point for something larger: resilience, self-trust, meaningful connection and the freedom to live your life with more energy.
We coach the person in front of us—not an idealized athlete. Classes are capped at twelve so there is room for thoughtful scaling, real attention and authentic relationships.
The Nomad philosophy
Progress lasts when training, nourishment, mindset and recovery reinforce one another.
Strength, skill, mobility and work capacity that carry into real life.
A practical, whole-food approach built around protein, plants and hydration.
Breathwork, reflection and practices that help your nervous system downshift.
Sleep, recovery, relationships and meaningful experiences beyond the gym.
A different kind of class
Most weeks follow a simple rhythm: Monday, Wednesday and Friday lean toward strength; Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday emphasize metabolic conditioning. Every class prepares you thoughtfully, trains with purpose, then finishes by recovering your breathing and stretching so you leave more regulated than you arrived.
Plan your training
The essentials are here. Exact class availability and reservations stay current in Zen Planner.
Coached classes
Weekdays include early-morning, morning, noon and evening options. Saturday classes meet in the morning.
Functional fitness memberships
Before you email
OnRamp is required unless Nomad approves at least three months of relevant coached experience in barbell, Olympic-lifting and gymnastics movements.
Local prospects who qualify may try one coach-approved class free. Visiting athletes use a paid drop-in pass.
Current members reserve through Zen Planner. First-time local athletes begin with the training-history review so we can guide them to the right class or OnRamp.
Coached classes follow the live schedule. Members with the optional key-fob add-on can also access the facility outside staffed class times.
Human connection is the point
Question of the Day, small classes, shared recovery, beach workouts, community events and honest accountability turn familiar faces into real friendships.
“They are always so inviting and make you feel comfortable. It’s worth dropping in for a great workout and fun atmosphere!”
